Overview
The Buff Shop was started by Dave and Ellen in their garage as a primarily wholesale business with little to no online presence. While they had built a strong word of mouth reputation, they struggled to showcase their products professionally online or connect with retail customers beyond their existing network.
They had picked out the name, chosen a few colours and had an early idea for an icon. What they needed was clear guidance and creative direction to refine that concept into a cohesive, polished and fully retail ready brand.


The Challenge
When Dave first approached us, The Buff Shop faced several significant obstacles. Their online presence was limited, with no retail-focused website, minimal social media activity, and no professional photography or video assets to showcase products.
Branding was inconsistent, with underdeveloped logos, visuals, and messaging, making it difficult to present the business professionally and cohesively across different channels.
These gaps meant missed revenue opportunities, as customers couldn’t easily find the brand online.

We structured the project into three phases to keep costs reasonable for a small, family-run business while building a strong foundation for growth.

Phase 2: Content & Visuals
From there, the focus shifted to showing the brand in action. Through thoughtful visuals, refined product messaging, and supporting sales assets, The Buff Shop began to reflect the quality of the product behind it. This phase helped create momentum, setting the business up for success.
Phase 3: Launch & Optimisation
The final phase focused on bringing everything together. With the store ready to support sales, we strengthened visibility and launched the brand fully. The Buff Shop was set up for both retail and wholesale growth, with planned content ensuring momentum continued well beyond launch.
